The Color Purple

I think Celie's relationship is a strong relationship because she has grown the bond of having someone to talk to only because she has no one there. She turns to god because she doesn't know anyone else that could understand her the way god does. She believes that he is the only one that can answer her prayers or answer the questions that she logs the answer for. I also think that this has made her stronger because she does have someone there to talk to, but it also forces her to stand on her own two feet and to eventually fight for herself which later in the story she has problems with. Her relationship with god also gives her that chance to figure out who she is and who she wants to be it gives her the freedom to have a choice instead of being given that choice. The relationship helps her grow as a person, as a woman, and as Celie. she deserves to have the choice of being someone. after everything she has been through she has always been the one to give everyone else the choice so why shouldn't she be the one to have it to.

She is the one who has put in all the hard work behind the relationship between her and her husband. So what gives him any right to make that choice for her i think that she deserves as much of a right to speak than he does.
